W. ἐν the reason for the παρρησία is given, and at the same time the object of the free speech: π. ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι Ἰησοῦ Ac 9:27; cp. vs. 28; Eph 6:20. Likew. w. ἐπί and dat. (Phalaris, Ep. 139 ἐπʼ αὐτοῖς π.—B-D-F §235, 2) π. ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ Ac 14:3.② When used w. the inf. π. gains (on the analogy of τολμᾶν, s.
